CALVES FOR CANCER

Better diagnostic techniques and more aggressive treatments have elevated the frequency of requests for help related to cancer, particularly for children. The CHMA Community Crisis Fund has experienced a dramatic increase in requests for assistance with travel, lodging and other issues for cancer patients. CHMA is launching this program in an attempt to meet that need.

Agricultural is such a big part of the state’s economy, and cancer seems to leave no family untouched. This program gives cattle producers the opportunity to make an immediate impact on these family crisis situations by donating a calf to the Chase Hawks Memorial Association. Chase Hawks will use the proceeds of the sale of that calf to fill the requests directly related to cancer treatment. CHMA will issue a tag with the Chase Hawks logo so that the producer will tag the calf of their choosing.  The producer will market the calf with their other calves, and the proceeds of that calf will go directly into the CHMA Community Crisis Fund committed to cancer related issues.

 The Chase Hawks is a 501(c)(3) charity, and your donation is tax deductible.  The producer will receive a tax receipt for the donated livestock, as well as a CHMA logoed money clip, two premium rodeo tickets to the 2012 Roughstock Rodeo, and a custom embroidered Calves for Cancer jacket
